Overview

Exercise MEDSAIL 2010 is a Joint Service Adventurous Sail Training Exercise and will take place from 5 Apr – 10 Oct 10.  The aim of the exercise is to develop the personal qualities essential to members of HM Forces, Reserve Forces, and the University Officer Traning Corps (UOTC), through adventurous sail training in a service environment.

The Joint Service Adventure Sail Training Centre (JSASTC) 16 metre (55ft) sail training craft, HMSTC CHASER, will be positioned in Vilamoura at the end of Exercise Canary Gold.  It will then make its way to Halkidiki via Mallorca and Malta, and Crete.  For 5 weeks it will remain in the Halkidiki area, which will include one week of maintenance before commencing its return to Gosport via Crete, Malta, Mallorca, Gibraltar and La Coruna.
